Yesterday @ our homestay
When we were at our homestay, our hosts were very nice. They cooked lots of nice food, like salad, fried tempura, miso soup, japanese rice, onion ring, home grown vegetables for us. (See the pictures below with the tour guide, the host and our dearest Mrs Leong!)
Before we ate, (:
The host with our tour guide and Mrs Leong while eating.
Mrs Leong eating the preserved plums. See her face!
The food that they serve us with.
The Kimono that we wore to see fireflies.
The teachers also wore Kimono!
Today's visit
We learned how to make origami in the morning.
And after that, we went to the Town Hall's kitchen to learn how to make strawberries mochi with the locals/host there. It was very delicious. :D
After learning how to make the strawberries mochi and we ate bento (packed lunchbox) for lunch with green tea.
After that, we went Beppu, somewhere which is famous for their hotspring, and there is a strong smell of sulphur there.
And after that, we went to Onishii Bozu Jigoku (Monk's Hell). A hellish sight located by the Umi Jigoku, the descriptive name derives from boiling mud pools resembling the shaved heads of monks. And after that, Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell). The "sea hell" features a pond of hot blue water. It is one of the most beautiful 'hells'.
The boys in the hotspring for the legs.
And the girls after that. (:
And, hotel and dinner! :D
